The white-water is waiting for you, and so are we!
After a long winter we all start dreaming of the summer to come, wouldn’t it be great to plunge into the water and escape the heat?
Luckily for all of us summer is on the way, and the mountain is already changing. The snow is melting and the grass is springing up across the hills and valleys. Soon there will be an explosion of colour with the arrival of the wild flowers in the fields. And surrounded by all that natural beauty you can take part in the huge range of summer activities the mountains have to offer: there is white-water rafting, hydrospeed swimming, kayak-rafting and canyoning to be enjoyed right on your doorstep.
Discover hidden gems while paddling along the Isère River or abseiling down a waterfall into a beautiful verdant canyon. With so much to chose from it’s enough to get anyone excited about the great outdoors and leave the memories of lockdown far behind you. 😉
We don’t need to tell you how great these activities are; who wouldn’t love confronting the rapids with their raging courants, taking on the biggest waves as they rise up before you and bathing in waterfalls? The components of an amazing holiday are simple enough: friends + a fast flowing river = fresh-water fun-times!
But! Did you know that these activities are not only fun but also excellent ways to stay fit and mentally agile? For example, the rafting alone requires constant concentration on the instructions of the guide and the obstacles looming up out of the water be they rocks, branches or waves. This concentration is paired with precise and powerful paddling to stay on the right course and avoid crashing into boulders. Never fear though, our highly trained river guides will be right there with you to steer, instruct and keep you safe.
If the mental and physical benefits weren’t enough, there is also the euphoric sensation of plunging into the chilled water that has recently melted off a glacier (the Isère river is usually between 8°C and 10°C during the summer) to cool you down in the blazing summer sun and stop you overheating while you give your arms and core a good work out. You won’t even notice that you’ve basically done the equivalent of 2 hours at the gym you’ll be having such a great time 😉
We know the last year has been difficult but we are doing our best to give you a few moments of pure enjoyment to help forget the hard times and recharge those batteries. Come and make the most of all our fresh air, forests and rocky rapids – we’ve got plenty to go around! 😉
