The long awaited return to the slopes!
We’ve been on the edges of our seats all year waiting and hoping that we’ll be able to open the resort as usual this winter and now it’s less than two months away! Soon we’ll be zipping down the mountain again and rediscovering our favorite winter wonderland.
Les Arcs is pulling out all the stops to make this season one of the best yet for everyone. Here are just some of the improvements in the works for this winter:
– The old Vallandry chair-lift is being replaced by a new extra comfortable gondola-lift which seats 10 per cabin and will get you from the centre to 2138m in 6 minutes. At the top, be sure to have a look round the new Muséum des Animaux de Montagne – a unique space created in collaboration with the Vanoise National Park.
– For the thrill seekers among you, the new Les Arcs Zip-Wire will be an unmissable part of your stay. Go solo or in pairs to take on the 130km speed descent as you hurtle over the gorgeous Les Arcs landscape.
– We are striving for a gold star in green energy this year with the edition of a solar panel system on the roofs of the Aiguille Rouge and the Varet to produce some of our own energy for powering the resort.
The Arc Aventures by Evolution 2 team are waiting eagerly to welcome you back to Les Arcs from Saturday 11th of December and can’t make this holiday the best yet:
– Due to the Christmas and end of year holidays falling on a weekend this year, we have added a few options to the usual Sunday to Friday children’s ski lessons. See the different options here.
– So many people joined us to try ski touring for the first time last winter and have now been converted; the satisfaction of climbing the slopes under your own steam and discovering some of the hidden gems of the resort makes it a must-try activity. With this in mind, each week we organise a 2-hour introduction to ski touring for only 15€ per person. Our partners at the Intersport ski shop are even offering reduced rates for those who sign up!
– And of course it goes without saying that we are still providing our usual wide range of ski and snowboard lessons for the little ones from 3 years onwards, teenagers and adults. – To make booking with us as easy as possible, as well as our main office at the bottom of the ski lifts in Arc 1800, you can come and see us at our offices in the Odalys Edenarc residence and at the Village Club du Soleil Arc 1800.
The snow is arriving in great white flurries, the resort is gearing up for a fantastic winter season and our instructors are ready and waiting… all we need now is you!
