Everyone needs to be able to swim at least 25 metres and submerge themselves fully (swimming test during the activity)
The minimum ages are strictly adhered to and participants need to have passed the relevant birthday on or before the date of the activity:
– Extra Isère Rafting : from 12 years old.
– Discovery Rafting: from 8 years old.
– Baby Raft: from 6 years old.
Ask when you book about signing the legal documents before the activity for all minors participating without a responsible adults.
In this activity participants lie on their fronts on inflatable small inflatable rafts which are as long as their torso. Their arms sit inside the raft and they hang on whilst leaning on the raft and swimming with the help of fins. The aim is to follow the path swum by guide in front of them as they know where the obstacles such as rocks and whirlpools are and how to avoid them.

– Eau-Rousse – Level 1: children from 10 years old and 30kg minimum with a responsible adult participating for all children under 14 years old.

Children must be at least 1.30m tall and for each child between 1.30m and 1.45m, one adult must participate just behind them incase they have trouble reaching anything.
You cannot do this activity if you have vertigo or a fear of heights.
This activity is monitored from the ground by our team but there is no one in the trees with you during the course.

Discovery Tandem flight: children from 5 years old and 25kg and adults 100kg max.
Performance Tandem flight: teenagers from 12 years old and 45kg minimum adults 100kg max.
Paragliding is not recommended for those who suffer from travel sickness.

Whether you are coming in summer or winter, or you would like to make a booking or simply ask for some further information, don’t hesitate to call us as soon as possible. This is especially important if you are coming during the French school holidays in the winter season or anytime in August.
We will be happy to give you all the information you need and take your booking (if bookings for that activity are already open).
Our sales service team are available most of the year with short periods where the office is closed in the spring and in September.
Yes! We strongly recommend booking in advance and especially if you are coming during the French school holidays (during the February French school holidays it is almost impossible to book when you arrive as almost everything is fully booked).
We will be ready to take bookings from June. You can book over the phone or online and all bookings must be paid for in advance and are subject to availability.
Our instructors speak French as their first language, but they also speak English and some speak Spanish and German so they can switch during lessons to suite the participants.
Each activity has a specific time-slot and meeting point, these are given upon booking.
It is best to book lessons with us only if you are staying in Arc 1800 as our ski school and the majority of our meeting points are there.
For snowshoeing excursions the meeting point is usually at our office in Arc 1800 but for certain walks we can arrange meeting points elsewhere in Les Arcs. Ask our sales team for details.
Yes! The technical levels are the same in all the ski schools in France. They just have different names and medals. Our sales team will be happy to explain the equivalent of your level (acquired elsewhere) in our school.
You should book children into the level they want to pass which means one level above the one they passed most recently.
You should book three-year-olds who have never skied directly into the Panda group and children from 4 years old who have never skied should start in Yetison whatever their age.

If people don’t respect our level system it leads to uneven skill-levels in groups which makes them much less rewarding for the participants.
Top-tip: Check if another times-slot is available for the level you need, for example, afternoon group lessons during the school holidays.

Children’s group ski lessons: We accept children from 3 years old (having already had their 3rd birthday on or before the 1st day of lessons) You will be asked for proof of age when booking. The groups are set at 6 children maximum and are adapted for their age.
Snowboarding group lessons: 10 years old minimum. The groups are made up of adults and children but decided depending on skill-level.
Snowboarding private lessons: Children can start as soon as they have a board and boots right for their size and weight.
Ski Snowboard Hire: Our customers will receive a promo code in their receipt upon booking which entitles them to discounts at our partner store Intersport in the Galerie des Villards Arc 1800 which they can use when booking their equipment hire online.
For ski touring equipment you should contact Intersport directly.
You can also book your equipment rental at the same time as your lessons.

Helmet and equipment insurance are not included in the ski/snowboard hire, you can add it directly in the shop.
Snowshoes: Our partner Intersport are the only shop in Les Arcs who rent hiking boots adapted for snowshoeing. They do not take online bookings for this so you’ll need to go directly to the shop. PLEASE NOTE: the snowshoes themselves and the walking poles are included in the price of our snowshoeing excursions so you don’t need to rent them.
Arc Aventures by Evolution 2 has a partnership with Odalys Edenarc in Arc 1800 which benefits its customers during both the summer and winter seasons.
Arc Aventures by Evolution 2 ski school offers pick up services and discounts depending on the dates and type of lessons. Call the offices to find out if these are applicable during your stay as they are not available online. + More information
Probably! In most cases you will need one as there are no free ski slopes in Les Arcs and our lessons don’t include a ski pass.
The basic pass you will need is the ‘Classic’ lift pass which covers all the slopes in Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry. Lift passes are free for under 5s, you can order them online or at the lift pass office and will need to present proof of age for the child to pick them up. Click here for more information
Children skiing: Children booked into the Panda and Yetison groups will not need a lift pass on their first day. The instructor will let you know when they will need one.
Adults who have never skied: Ask our sales team for details
Snowboarders (whatever the level): Always need the ‘Classic’ pass.
Ski touring is a sport that uses specialised equipment and techniques to cover snowy terrain without having to use the usual public transport and ski lifts.
This more independent method gives access to wild and unspoiled off-piste areas, alternating between uphill and downhill skiing. Climb the mountain with ‘seal-skins’ fixed to the under-side of your skis for grip, light-weight boots and hinged bindings allowing you to lift your heel for a more natural movement.
Once at the top, you can enjoy the thrill of the descent through untouched snow down perfectly serene hills. Just peel off the seal-skins, tighten your shoes, lock-in your bindings and enjoy!
You need to be in good shape and be an upper-intermediate / advanced level skier (Class III: see our levels).
If you like skiing, the physical effort of hiking and want to discover superb landscapes, then ski touring is perfect for you!
You will be climbing at high altitudes so try to book your ski touring session two or three days after your arrival to allow your body to adapt. Letting your body get used to the different oxygen levels is recommended so that you can fully appreciate this activity.
We mainly organise outings for adults; teenagers can take part depending on their age and level but the instructor will need to agree.
As far as clothing is concerned, you can’t go wrong with the 3-layer system (long-sleeved thermal top, a fleece or a down gilet and a light but warm ski jacket (Gore-Tex is always preferable).
The uphill climb is often intense and you will need to be able to shed layers to keep cool as you go up, then cover up again for the ride back down. Also don’t forget to bring water, snacks, sun cream and sunglasses!
Arc Aventures by Evolution 2 provides the essential safety pack for each participant: an avalanche transceiver and a rucksack containing a shovel and a probe. You can add your personal belongings to the rucksack if necessary.
It is always a good idea to book your equipment in advance (touring skis, boots, poles and seal-skins) you can get a good deal when you go to our partner shop: Intersport Villards Village, Arc 1800.
We offer an evening taster session for curious skiers wishing to try their hand at ski touring.
The group session takes place every Wednesday evening from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. (4 participants minimum to run).
You will climb around 200m up the slopes after the resort has closed then speed down again back to Arc 1800.
The instructor will show you how to use the specialised equipment: the seal-skins, hinged ski bindings and clip-in shoes.

Some ski touring routes will require a lift pass to get away from the main resort a little faster and to be able to access the wild areas more easily.
We will let you know when you book if you will need one as it will depend on the route the instructor is panning to take.

A wide range of hikes are offered in a variety of environments, themes, altitudes and levels. They take place in half-day, full-day and even in the early evening for the snowshoe-apéro outings.
Check out the sample programme. It is adapted each week according to the weather, snow conditions, and even to the registrations.
No need to be able to ski – this is hybrid technology that combines the best parts of sledging and skiing. It is the modern version of the ‘paret’ sledge that was used at the beginning of the last century. Lightweight, flexible and comfortable, you’ll soon have completed your first few runs and be enjoying the unique feeling of Yoonering.
You should dress warmly as for all snow sports: ski jacket and trousers are best. Gloves are recommended as are helmets and ski goggles or sunglasses. The shoes you choose are very important, they must be waterproof boots with good soles and ideally good ankle support as well. Snow boots or hiking boots are best.
