Take on the Isère and its rapids!

2 trips per day at 9:00 and 14:00
Adults and children from 12 years old
For around 2 hours you will float down the Isère River in your inflatable raft, steered by a trained river guide and powered by your paddling. You will go through the white-water rapids in Aime and Centron and the gorges in Villette. The guide will tell you how and when to paddle so as to best to beat the waves, follow the currents and avoid the obstacles.
The activity takes approx. 3h30 total, with 2 hours in the water + getting equipment + getting your instructions + changing at the end of the activity + driving back to the base.
All participants must:
-Have their own insurance
-Know how to swim at least 25m and fully submerge themselves
-Have passed the minimum age on or before the date of the activity
-Be at least 12 years old (with 1 responsible adult participating per 2 children) or 14 years old alone
Parental consent required for under 18s.
Provided: Full neoprene wetsuit, neoprene boots, helmet, and life jacket.
You will need: a swimming costume, a towel and a bag for your belongings and clothes. Avoid bringing valuables.

For those using the Funicular train, we can come and pick you up at the Gare Funicular in Bourg St Maurice and drop you back after the activity.

Useful information
In rafting you go down the river on a large inflatable boat. There are 4 to 9 spaces for participants and a guide sits at the back to steer and instruct everyone. Participants sit on either side and paddle as the guide tells them to.
We have two types of rafting to be able to accommodate adults and children during the activity.
The Discovery rafting is shorter and doesn’t include any rapids so it is perfect for children from 8 years old (they need to have had their 8th birthday before or on the day of the activity) and from 12 years old everyone can do the Integrale rafting which includes the rapids and gorges.
If you have mixed ages in your family, we can usually find a solution where you do the first part of the activity together and those who aren’t 12 yet get out just before the rapids and return to the whitewater base with the guides while the others finish the activity.
