During 40 minutes performance flight you will climb much higher than usual, turning on rising updrafts to gain in altitude. You are guaranteed thrills and adrenaline as well as beautiful vues over the Mont-Blanc mountain range. We recommend this flight for those who have already done the Discovery flight and want something more intense.
Plan for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time you leave to the time you arrive back at the same meeting point.

Useful information
We highly recommend booking as early as possible when you arrive for your holiday.
You should try and book the first possible time-slot during your stay in case the weather conditions do not allow us to fly so as to give us the best possible chance to reschedule for another day. The time-slots we will be able to offer depend on the exact weight of the participants (within a margin of 1-2kg) as the flight conditions change throughout the day. As a general rule, children and small adults fly in the morning when we can start at 25kg minimum and everyone else flies in the afternoon when we can go up to 100kg maximum. The conditions and the weight restrictions mean that, for example, most parents and children cannot fly at the same time!
Performance flights are only available in the afternoon.
Take off points depend on the time-slot and weight of the participant:
– Morning flights: passengers take off from the top of the Cachette chair-lift in Arc 1600. You will need to get to Arc 1600 of your own accord and passengers are picked up by the pilots at the bottom of the chair-lift (ticket for the passenger included in the price of the flight)
– 13h45 onwards: There are 3 possible take-off points between Arc 1800 and Vallandry and the pilots chose the best one for the current air conditions at the time of the flight. Pilots pick up the passengers from the Arc Aventures main office and take them to the take-off.
Landing zones:
– Morning flights: flights will land in the field between the train station and the funicular train station in Bourg St Maurice
– 12h15 onwards: Illettes landing field in Hauteville-Gondon
Passengers are driven back to the start point by bus or funicular and their tickets are included in the price of the flight.
You should wear: A jacket or windbreaker, trousers or leggings, trainers or walking shoes (that give good grip) and sun glasses. Helmets are provided.
You cannot take your phone out during the flight to film as it would be very dangerous if it fell on someone. There is a photo + video option available for 30€ (2022 price) to be paid in cash directly to the pilot who will film you and take photos with their GoPro on a selfie-stick. After the flight they will give you the SD card and an adapter.
