Participants are much more independent than in rafting, lying on their stomach on an inflatable buoy and using their balance and fins to propel themselves down the river without getting carried away by the current. This activity is physically demanding and requires a good level of fitness.
The activity takes approx. 2h30 total, with and hour in the water + getting equipment + getting instructions + changing at the end of the activity + driving back to the base.
All participants must:
-Have their own insurance
-Know how to swim at least 25m and fully submerge yourself
Have passed the minimum age on or before the date of the activity
-Be at least 1.50m tall, 40kg and 14 years old.
Parental consent required for under 18s.
Provided: Full neoprene wetsuit, fins, helmet, and life jacket.
You will need: a swimming costume, a towel and a bag for your belongings and clothes. Avoid bringing valuables.

Useful information
Whether you have booked the Discovery, Plus or Integrale rafting or hydro-speed swimming, you will start at our whitewater base on the banks of the Isère River in Bourg St Maurice. You’ll leave all your things in your bag which will go in our bus. The bus will come to pick you up at the end of the activity and bring you back to the whitewater base.
In this activity participants lie on their fronts on inflatable small inflatable rafts which are as long as their torso. Their arms sit inside the raft and they hang on whilst leaning on the raft and swimming with the help of fins. The aim is to follow the path swum by guide in front of them as they know where the obstacles such as rocks and whirlpools are and how to avoid them.
